Event Logistics and Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Event Logisitics and Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of various events across the UK, ensuring that all logistical aspects run smoothly. This position requires a blend of organisational skills and hands-on experience in warehouse operations, making it ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities & duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and setup of event materials, including equipment, signage, and supplies.
  • Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of event-related items to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control to maintain an organised warehouse environment.
  • Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
  • Support the assembly and disassembly of event structures as required.
  • Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage supplies efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all event logistics are executed according to plan.

Skills:

  • Experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to build and assemble equipment as needed.
  • Proficient in materials handling techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
  • Driving Licence required in order to operate a Luton Van.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Details 

  • Type: Full time, permanent
  • Location: Melton Constable, Norfolk
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm (with evening and weekend work for events)
  • Salary: £25,000.00-£25,750.00 per year
