Fashion Design Admin Assistant

Blakely Clothing is a fast-growing e-commerce fashion brand based in North Norfolk. We design premium lifestyle products for a global audience and have recently experienced rapid growth. As we continue to evolve our product categories, we are looking for a highly organised Fashion Design Admin Assistant to support our design and product development processes.

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Fashion Design Admin Assistant to join our Design team. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven individual to support the design team with administration, organisation and product documentation. This role is essential in ensuring samples, technical documents and design assets are accurately managed, measured and filed, helping our design workflow run smoothly from concept through to finalised product.

Responsibilities & duties:

  • Support designers by preparing collection packs and updating technical documents
  • Organise and maintain sample rails, fit samples and product archives
  • Measure garments and record measurements accurately for fits and sample reviews
  • Manage digital and physical filing of design resources, specs and sample details
  • Assist with ordering design supplies, trims, fabric swatches and materials
  • Update and maintain collection overviews, design trackers and seasonal documentation
  • Ensure documents are versioned, named correctly and accessible
  • Support sample organisation for fittings, design meetings and product reviews
  • Record fit comments and technical changes where needed
  • Prepare measurement sheets, sample notes and garment information
  • Work closely with design, production and buying to keep information aligned
  • Support preparation of design boards, presentations and concept materials
  • Assist with photographing samples and uploading reference images to internal folders
  • Organise design room stock (trims, fabrics, hardware, stationery, storage)
  • Help maintain fabric libraries and swatch databases
  • Assist with researching fabrics and trims for upcoming seasons
  • Prepare parcels and organise courier shipments for samples
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient design room environment
  • Assist designers with ad-hoc design admin tasks as required
Skills & Requirements
  • Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Confident measuring garments and recording accurate information
  • Basic understanding of garment construction and technical details (preferred)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe tools
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain order in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Proactive, reliable and comfortable working to deadlines
  • Passion for fashion design, product creation and organisation
  • Previous fashion admin experience or fashion-related degree (preferred)
