Blakely Clothing is an e-commerce fashion brand based in North Norfolk. Designing new and exciting products for the global market we have recently been through an exciting period of growth and are now looking to further expand our team.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-focused and menswear-obsessed Junior Designer to support the design and development of our menswear collections. This role works closely with the Senior Designers, product team and external suppliers to bring new ideas to life through sketching, sampling, fabric selection and research, ensuring our menswear collections stay trend-led, premium and aligned with the Blakely aesthetic.

Responsibilities & duties:

• Support the design and development of seasonal menswear collections
• Assist in sketching, CAD drawing and technical pack creation
• Manage and track sampling, fabric developments and prototype approvals
• Support fittings and provide feedback on garment construction and styling
• Research menswear trends, fabrics, shapes and detailing to inform seasonal direction
• Help build mood boards, trend boards and concept direction
• Maintain detailed design documentation and sampling records
• Assist with fabric and trim sourcing, researching new materials and innovations
• Review fit samples and support technical adjustments where needed
• Collaborate closely with buying, production and content teams throughout development
• Support organisation of samples, swatches and design assets
• Ensure all menswear designs align with Blakely brand identity, fit philosophy and customer profile

Skills:

• Good knowledge of menswear trends, detail, fit and fabrication
• Strong understanding of garment construction, proportions and styling
• Proficiency using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent eye for shape, fabric, colour and menswear silhouettes
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting design ideas
• Detail-orientated with strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for menswear, product design and premium lifestyle fashion
• Relevant design degree or previous experience in a menswear design role (preferred)
